Washington, D.C. – The Association of Schools Advancing Health Professions (ASAHP) announced today that it has elected new Members of the Board of Directors to serve for the next two years. As the nation’s leading Association focused on advancing health professions education, ASAHP represents nearly 130 institutions and professional members across the U.S. that educate the healthcare workforce of the future.
All Board members will assume their roles on October 19, 2023, at the conclusion of ASAHP’s 2023 Annual Conference in Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida.
The new Board of Directors will include:
Dr. Craig R. Jackson, MSW, JD, FASAHP, Dean of the School of Allied Health Professions at Loma Linda University will assume the role of President of ASAHP.
Dr. Jon Williamson, PhD, FASAHP, Dean of the UT Southwestern Medical Center School of Health Professions was re-elected as a Director on the Board of Directors.
Dr. Leslee Battle, EdD, Dean of the School of Health Sciences, Winston-Salem State University, was elected for her first term as a Director on the Board of Directors.
Dr. Susan Gordon-Hickey, AuD, PhD, FASAHP, Dean of the Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions, University of South Alabama was re-elected for her second term as Secretary.
Each of these Board Members will support the governance of ASAHP as it continues its mission of being a leading national advocate for higher education institutions and professional members who are training the health professions workforce of the future.
