The Energy and Commerce Committee on Health will hold a markup on Wednesday, May 18, at 10:00am Eastern of six bills including the Restoring Hope for Mental Health and Well-Being Act of 2022. The legislation would reauthorize the Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET) Program, which prioritizes resources for the mental and behavioral health care workforce through training grants, for FY 2023 through FY 2027. The Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health advanced the legislation last week. That same day at 10:15am Eastern, the House Education and Workforce Committee will markup five bills, including those related to mental health.
