U.S. Department of Education Issues Title IX Rule

Today the U.S. Department of Education issued its Final Rule on Title IX. The regulations go into effect on August 14, 2020. The new regulations allow for using a higher burden of proof in determining guilt in sexual misconduct complaints, and requires universities to provide a live hearing that allows for cross-examination of the parties and witnesses involved.
