According to a report issued by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) this week, approximately 10.3 million Americans had an active 2017 health plan through the Health Insurance Marketplaces as of March 15, meaning that they selected a plan that started in January or February, and had paid their first month’s premium. This number is significantly lower than the 12.2 million individuals, as reported in the March Open Enrollment Report.
