DISPARITIES IN ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE

According to a Chartbook on Health Care for Blacks, which is part of the National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Reportdeveloped by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), blacks ranked lower than whites on 12 of 22 measures commonly used to evaluate access to health care in 2013. For example, 20 percent of blacks reported delays in care compared with 13 percent of whites.
