Mark Berg MA, LPC-S, CEAP, SAP
Mark began his career as a counselor and employee assistance professional in 1987. He is the former Director of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is a licensed professional counselor - supervisor level (LPC-S), certified as an Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), and has substance abuse related certification (SAP). He is trained in Marriage and Family Therapy. Mark is a certified coach, a CoachRice graduate, and a member of the International Coaching Federation. He has coached executives, faculty members, and leaders for over 4 years in many different business endeavors addressing leadership, communication, and business skills. He directed an EAP in the airline industry for 8 years for ExpressJet Airlines and provided related services to local hospitals and companies in the oil and gas industry. His professional expertise includes assisting organizations and their employees after critical incidents and disasters. He serves as the National Clinical Director of the Critical Incident Response Program for ALPA. He still consults with the airline industry surrounding substance use, mental health challenges, and critical incident response. He is a trainer through ICISF (International Critical Incident Stress Foundation) for Group CISM and Advanced Group CISM and specializes in Aviation but also instructs for First Responders and Law Enforcement. Mark is a member and former/past president of IAEAPE (International Association of Employee Professional in Education). He is a long-term member of EAPA and has served on the board of the Houston Chapter of EAPA as the Vice President and President. He has presented nationally and internationally. He is a member of the National Workplace Suicide Prevention Association.

Dr. Peter Hu is currently the Associate Dean of Research and Strategic Initiatives in the School of Health Professions (SHP) at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX. He is also a professor and is the founding Director of the Molecular Genetic Technology and the Graduate Diagnostic Genetics Programs at MD Anderson. Dr. Hu holds 3 specialty clinical certifications in Molecular Biology, Cytogenetics, and Clinical Laboratory Science through American Society for Clinical Pathology. He joined MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) in1995 and has worked in both clinical and academic environments. Dr. Hu regularly presents at state, national, and international conferences on topics ranging from clinical laboratory sciences and education.
